I'm thrilled to introduce one of my recent collaborators: Alexandra O’Kane — a motherhood and family photographer whose work is as heartfelt as it is timeless.
Alexandra has a gift for capturing raw emotion in its quietest, most intimate forms. Her photography tells stories that are honest, poetic, and deeply personal — and her brand deserved a digital space that could reflect that same energy.
🎯 The Project: A Website Relaunch Rooted in Elegance
When Alexandra reached out, she already had a clear aesthetic and a strong sense of her brand. My role was to support her vision — not replace it.
Here’s how I helped her bring it to life:
✅ Migrated her website to Squarespace 7.1 using Fluid Engine for greater flexibility
✅ Implemented custom CSS to support her refined, editorial style
✅ Solved layout and performance issues to ensure her stunning images displayed seamlessly across devices
This wasn’t about a full redesign — it was about honoring the design she envisioned and giving her the technical support to realize it beautifully and without overwhelm.
💬 A Personal Note
As a mom of two boys, I found Alexandra’s work especially meaningful. Her sessions are so much more than just photos — they’re keepsakes.
They freeze time during some of life’s most precious (and fleeting) seasons — pregnancy, new motherhood, family milestones.
I honestly wish I had someone like Alexandra nearby during my own early motherhood journey.
